I'd go for the kilt, shirt, and cloak, if only because you will be able to use it immediately for two things you're doing now, instead of for an undefined game you'll play at some point in the future.

I vote for the coat, (though that is a good point about immediate use.) However, shirts, cloaks and kilts are easily found and sized on the internet or at sca events, custom made coats are harder to come by.

The coat is fitted, and should be made to your measurements. The other items require a general fit (waist, length), but not quite the custom fit that a coat requires. So, IMHO, if you have a seamstress at your disposal, go with the custom item.

Custom fitted coat! You will find places to wear it and it is so col looking.
Mind you I ike you in a kilt too.....
