There are movies with graphic torture in them. They're not just Vietnamese, trust me. The key is to not watch them, I've found.

I can sort of handle graphic violence without too much of an issue- I think what put me over the edge was that it was an old woman being tortured- along with a bunch of women also in their night clothes- as if they were yanked out of bed. Despite what my mother said about them being evil conspirators- that's not the image I see when I see a bunch of small women in their night gowns, bound and bleeding in chairs surrounded by a bunch of men
