Honestly roleplay a little younger and sillier? I'm not sure - telling people this or mentioning something that was only a few years ago when you were X old or Y might help? I'm really not sure beyond that.

Are you using spray or liquid hair white? The confusion might be coming from the fact that you both appear to have a great deal of grey/white in your hair, rather than a single streak... hrm.

I'd bet people subconsciously metagame makeup = "aging" oneself. Maybe you two should pick up one of those little hair extension clip in dealies, which'll keep a distinctive skunk stripe of differently textured hair, instead of using a makeup streak? It'd also give you matching ones that you could position in the same way.

I think part of the mix up is that generally, Julian is a male name. So's Micah. Frankly, so is Tucker :). People do gender bend occasionally in games, so that could be another reason folks were confused.

Other than picking more obviously gender related names, I'm not sure what you could do to prevent confusion.

I think it was pointed out that duncreek had a character in a game that went by Clair, and no one had this confusion.

Also- Jasper's sister, Jonah's sister/ the local cowgirl... and I don't bind, have facial hair or correct pronouns...

And again, I'm a Tucker and don't like most obvious gender names save for some.

I hope you're not taking that as a criticism of your choice of character names. My real first name can be male or female, so I occasionally get some people who are surprised to see a female. More so if they hear it rather than see it spelled.

Oh no, I didn't- I just wish it wasn't part of the cause for confusion. I have some opinions on how people should try harder if they are playing different genders and wish it wouldn't bleed onto me.
