excessively bored here (so feel free to use this as a party post) but i know that a few months ago i tipsily scrawled my ideas for challenges somewhere in Most Recent Notebook. yup, found 'em.
edit new comm layout last_pleasure. still need to clean up a few things. stylesheets from refuted. (yup, i'm that bored.)

mmm, i kinda don't get the whole uniform thing. i think because my intermediate school and college uniforms were fugly to the max. yet, i can see the appeal ;D

Those are some tough challenges. They're really interesting though. oo3 reminds me of that LS fic I wrote - though that was only two parts but youknowwhatimean. I'm thinking I might do oo1 but, then again, it might be hard to do anything too different with it. Hmm.

The idea of failing is scary, you better not fail me~!

oh yes, i suppose it is similar :)
it might be hard to do anything too different with it? come on, be creative! despite how obvious the prompt might be, few people tend to write it (realistically) and few people tend to pull it off.

Yeah, that's true but, you know how it is, often the first thing you think of (just like the first track you love on an album) isn't always the best in the long run. I had an obvious idea and I can't think of many ways of being especially creative with it so it might be better to try something else. Can you try multiple prompts, by the way?

These are very interesting challenges but I have admit that they scare me a bit. XD But it'll be interesting to read what people can come up with.

Oh, and just out of curiosity: when you say avoid feminising male characters what do you mean by it? I mean, what is feminising male characters? Is there some basic rules, such as 'males don't do this' and 'males do that'? I've been thinking about this for a while already because for me it's a subject that doesn't have one right answer.

well unfortunately, there are no rules, there is no list or right answer. what i mean in this instance is to avoid making characters in your own image. the most important thing is not to forget that the characters are male, and may react differently to a given situation because of this.
maybe reading up on gender would help?

Umm.. 001. and 002. made me more or less confused (I didn't quite get the idea of the prompt) so those are pretty much out.. As well as 005. :p

And.. Um, I'm not sure if it was what you were aiming for, but why does prompt 008. make me think of "Jrock goes American Idol"? o_O

XD i really wasn't thinking of that. i recently watched Battle Shinhwa and i guess it reminded me of the audition process :D i'm not entirely sure how it'd fit into jrock, but i wanted to have some prompts that went a little beyond jrock. still, for an indie band, recording demos and sending them out to labels is sort of like an audition.
