Teaching.

The shore of the lake was stunning in the darkness with only the stars to shine down on the waters. There were others outdoors - Kurapika could see them if not hear them, and thought nothing of it. He was preparing to do something he didn't think himself qualified to do. He was about to begin teaching Nen to someone he had barely met, and yet ( Read more... )

Pretty decent place to go for a quiet moment alone or to train. No moon in sight, dammit anyways and it didn't look like the sun was going to come up any time soon either. He doesn't know this kid but something in his gut is telling him that there's something they have in common.

The wind wasn't too bad here, ruffles his bangs mostly but, like he's thought before, it makes one hell of a training ground. He'll have to remember to come back here when he can use his Tetsusaiga and train here for a little while.

"Not a bad place to train." He remarks and cracks his knuckles without the assistance of one of his hands before cracking his back. There we go, much better. Violet eyes are attentive and serious as he turns his body away from the lake and towards his trainer.

"What's first?"

Kurapika sat down, in a near-typical lotus position, his arms relaxed on his knees. "First is meditation to feel the energy of the Nen inside you, and to begin opening the shouko to let your nen flow through you and learn to control it. It takes time, but the results show themselves with your efforts."

He extended his right hand, showing chains that depend from each finger. "These, I created with my Nen. Each has its purpose. But your Nen abilities will show themselves once your Nen is in your reach."

Inuyasha follows suit, he sits in the lotus position anyways, it's really one of the only ones you can use to sit in trees mind you. He can't necessarily see what's going on, he'd bet he could if the sun would come up dammit but, the chains on his fingers are definitely interesting to him.

"Is there a certain place you're looking inside yourself in? And what form does it take? Yours are chains, are there other things?"

He's meditated before, actually, he does meditate instead of sleep on these particular nights.

"What you look for is your own energy, the force of your life, and how it flows through you. The form of the nen is usually an aura until you discover your type and train yourself accordingly. First, we learn Ten, to keep the Nen flowing around you instead of escaping your body. Once you have learned Ten, you can see Nen."

He was trying to teach the way he had been taught, but perhaps more carefully - for his own sake. He didn't want to make a single error.
