It isn't that Adam's bored. In their household, there is no bored any more.

It's more that he's-

okay. yes. he's bored. Without the writhing and squirming and squealing of small children, with nobody to hold or walk or look after-

he's bored.

Thom is like an infant. Kind of.

He's sitting on a table by the window, one hand on the glass, looking out at Barony Olau for the first time. He says, "You're really ready to live here?"

Yes, but Thom should (theoretically) be able to care for himself.

Adam's gaze follows Thom's, and a light smile sits on his face.

"I think I've been ready for a while."
