Because I do need to be getting on to bed, but....

Stories/books/movies/games that are almost awesome annoy me far more than those that are merely bad, or simply mediocre start to finish. The wasted potential grates me completely the wrong way. a-MEN! This really bugs me! I think this is why Shadow Hearts:Covenant pisses me off so much, because it could have been AMAZING and it just...falls short. Like if it had achieved the feel and atmosphere of the old game but kept the graphics and gameplay of the new one it'd have been awesome, but just couldn't make it. It pisses me off way more than a game that's just mediocre.

I just finished re-reading an 8 book series that had SO MUCH potential. The base ideas were amazing, and you loved to hate the villains, but. Just....too flawed.
