Zelda is apparently campaigning for cutest cat ever award right now. I have a small couch pillow on my desk chair (to put behind me when I am sitting here and provide cheap girl's version of lumbar support), and Zelda likes to take over the desk chair whenever I am not in it. About DDS - I don't suppose the first game ends on a cliffhanger? I'm considering buying the first one but if its ending is in any way incomplete, I'm not sure it's worth the pain! Especially since DDS2 seems to run at $150.

Oh, it very much ends on a cliffhanger. I really loved DDS, but I will say that it has a much lower plot-to-dungeon ratio than Persona - you'd get like 5-10 minutes of plot, then a couple hours of dungeon, then another 10 minutes of plot, repeat. You also spend a lot of time grinding for levels because it is oldschool and hardcore like that.

You may, however, be able to YouTube the plot sequences of DDS2 once you've played DDS1? I don't know.

Sigh. Gamestop.com is offering DDS at a rather reasonable price, but doesn't seem to have even heard of DDS2.

Do the plot and characters make the grinding and dungeon-hopping worth it?

Atlus reprinted DDS a couple years back, or so I am told, but didn't reprint DDS2, which is why you can find one but not the other. I'd lend you my DDS2, but I already promised to lend it to someone else, so you'd have to wait a while. XD

I think the plot and characters are very worth the grinding. Both games have broken my heart pretty solidly. But then I'm kind of a fan of anything Atlus does.

I played DDS2 much faster than DDS1, maybe that's why I got more into it. Hmm. I should replay them sometime.
