this weekend was either complete win or complete fail, no middle ground.

So, holiday weekends. Generally not meant to be made of stress. AND YET.

Mike came over Friday night as per usual, and there was snuggling and video games, and that was fabulous. Also some horribly awkward and uneasy conversations, the upshot of which is shiny (I think) but omg not fun to do.

Saturday, we acquired a wrenbow and went down to the ( Read more... )

money stuff, the world can kiss my ass, your shipment of fail has arrived, too neurotic to live, cats!

*hugs* I do that sometimes too. Also, every collection agency will have a but-load of complaints. Cause well... they do collections. And I THINK you can get your free credit report from annualcreditreport.com

And as far as collections go. You can't do anything about a left message really. I know that my script for a known number was "Mr Name, my name is drakonlily and I am calling you from "company name" a debt collection agency, please return my call at blah blah blah."

Basically if you call them back and give them your social security number, then they can remove your number. You may be a multiple, or a nearby, or a past reference on something.

:) I can help more if you need it.

Yeah, I mean, I figured that. The robocall actually didn't even have my name or anything - I only got half the message because of my voice mail. I feel better having checked my credit report, though.

Basically I didn't want to get all three at once - I had some trouble with my W-2 getting to me earlier this year, and have no idea where it went, so I'm planning on checking my credit report again in August and once more in December, just to make super super sure that nothing untoward has shown up on it. Since I know I'm entitled to one from each agency, I'm doing them separately. Clearly that was a bad idea.

I'm a little too paranoid to call them back and give them my SSN, so I think I'll wait and see if they call when I'm around. Thanks for the advice :)

She is! I hope she grows to at least tolerate Ganon. They don't have to be best buddies (given their names, it'd be strange if they were) but.

I hope Princess Zelda settles in well. She sounds pretty cute.

*snugs for the crying*

She looks a lot like Ganon, actually, only with black instead of grey. But she's about half his size.

Pics tonight, I think, if I am calm enough.

Hope you're feeling better. *hugs* I'm much the same way when something like a collection agency goes after me or something like that: everything must STOP, NOW, while I frantically do everything to try to make it right. Sigh. I do the burst-into-tears-for-no-real-reason thing every now and then, too, and yeah, it's annoying. But it sounds like things are better, yes?

And yay for the new kitty! If they're Zelda and Ganon, they're not supposed to get along, though, right? :D looking forward to pictures. eee!

I am pretty sure they were trying to call whoever used to have my number, because I checked my credit report and there's nothing late, delinquent, or in collections. But it's nerve-wracking all the same.

XD As long as they tolerate each other it's FINE. Just don't kill each other, guys, and I'll be happy.

"Today I let the cats be in the same room for a while, supervised. Zelda still doesn't want Ganon getting anywhere near her, and will growl if he intrudes on her sphere of personal space, but Ganon appears to just be curious instead of mean. So....I'm hopeful."

Sure, it starts out as curiosity, but then Ganon is trying to steal the Triforce of Wisdom and Zelda is running around and hiding pieces of it in your kettles and cupboards while her loyal cockroach is fleeing in search of the legendary mouse who will save us all. Or something.

Sorry to hear about the robocall annoyances. I get calls sometimes from collectors that aren't even accidental/incorrect. How's that for stressful? ;-)

Hahahaha. That's an entertaining mental image, for sure :)

(Ganon's too lazy to steal the Triforce of Wisdom. It's not edible, you see.)

Blah, yeah, having them call you for reals is not fun :( I am sorry. *hugs*
