Scion is awesome. System is less broken than it seems, as far as I can tell. But I haven't played yet, so we'll see.

Well, our group played the demo and the problem is, you have Exalted-size DV's, Exalted-style soak, and Old-World-of-Darkness-sized die pools to hit, so basically everybody swung ineffectually at each other and it was really frustrating. We're trying to fix it so that it actually works.

Aaaaah. That makes sense. Hmm. I'd have to take another look. I didn't see a lot of combat-enhancements in the book, IIRC, so maybe creating some would be a good idea.

I'd honestly have to look again. But I'm the kind of player that thinks rules are secondary. I love the concept, it's something I've always wanted to do, and never had the time/patience to work on.

I'm crazy in love with the concept. And it makes it possible to crossbreed Scion with Exalted and come up with the FF7 SOLDIER/Turks mod that I want to run, which makes me squee.

Also? Screw the rules. You wouldn't believe how often I just pick up a handful of dice in Exalted and roll them without setting up rules or stats for whatever the players are fighting (makes it easier to scale). I ran a Demon game once that we'd have entire 3 or 4 hour sessions in which no one rolled dice. It was my favourite game to run. The players just sat around and bitched at each other a lot, and held these massive ideological arguments that are one of the fundamental underpinnings of the game. Love.

Balthier is my favourite FF character of all time, closely followed by Fran. My muse is even contemplating a fanfic about them (an unprecedented step, since she normally only writes FF8 fics), though I think I should finish the game first.

It's such a lovely game. I restarted it with wrenbow observing so we could squee together. She is made of cute and adorable.
