Just Another Day

I really need to....do something about my failure to update, or something like that.

So Saturday evening was interesting. teki ran a game of Paranoia. While I find the concept immensely cool, I find the reality really hard. I don't like backstabbing party members and I don't like having to be constantly fully on guard against every other member of ( Read more... )

Ummm...why? It's your journal, hon. Update it when you want to. You update a lot more than I do. *smiles*

I've played both. Cthulhu wasn't bad. Paranoia gave me headaches. *L*

*chuckles* I agree. When I talk about Gronk I mention STR, DEX and WIS. In all acuality, if I was to use him as an NPC, he'd have no stats. He's just fun to use from the low INT standpoint.

Yeah, work does bite and not in a good way.

*blink blink blink*

I forgot. I'm on vacation. *bounces*

Yeah but when I don't update I forget the things I wanted to mention.

You get up very early *blinks* It's like, what, 9 am where you are? If I didn't have work I wouldn't stir before 11.

I'm the same way. I tend to carry a notebook with me and write things down. Palm Pilots are good for that too. *thinks* They make voice recorder modules for Ipods too, you know.

*shrugs* I need to do laundry and it's easier to do it early.

I'd prefer to stay asleep that long too. Even when I don't have things to do my cats have other ideas about how late I get to sleep.

Yeah Ganon climbs onto the bed and snuggles and nuzzles and bites until I cuddle with him and then he's fine.

I do my best thinking in the car or when walking, so it's hard to fiddle with an iPod while I'm driving though.

I prefer to do laundry late at night *lol*

Excellent!

Are you going home for spring break? I'm free anytime this week (well except tonight) to talk over stuff with you. I can also loan you a copy of core to read over, as I have two.

I'm here until Saturday. Are you coming to Rob's tonight? Having the book, I think, would help muchly.

I had made previous plans (curses! I'd rather be at Rob's but it'd be rude to cancel now), so probably not though I may drop by later. I'm around the rest of the week though.

I know a couple of folks went through and built a perfect circle of Solars to take down the First and Forsaken here: http://exalted.xi.co.nz/wiki/wiki.pl?FrivYeti/SolarsVsLion

That's the root page from which all the discussion proceeds. As for why old FAFL gets stats. . . I do know that one of the authors (Grabowski, if memory serves) commented a long time ago that all the stats listed are lowballed since not everybody can master the fine art of Exalted twinkery to keep pace with them if they were truly frightening.

Deathlord vs. Solars with less than 100 years under their belts = Solars dead. dead dead dead. Even with massive twinkery. I feel that anything that was a millenia-old Solar before it died, and has had millenia since then to get even MORE awesome, should NOT be taken down by Solars who are less than Essence 6 with appropriately high-Essence charms and artifacts of awesome shiny and sorcery of OMGWTFBBQ.

Ha, you think YOU have problems updating? Puh-lease. You're an amateur compared to me!

There was once a time when I updated literally every day, often 4-7 times a day.

Ah, college, how I miss thee.
