Next week's supposed to be blessedly cool here - only 70! - and I'm really looking forward to it.

WE NOW BOTH HAVE 27" IMACS! THEY ARE GLORIOUS! Mine won't even fit under my desk hutch . . .

Mine *exactly* fits under the hutch. Although it is so huge that the keyboard looks like a little novelty mini-thing. XD

Yes. Both of these statements are entirely true. I'm just grateful that we have central air that was mostly up to the task (it failed a little on Wednesday but was still a fuckton better than outside.)

I had to drive out to Sparta from La Crosse to pick up a desk and chair I'd found for free on Craigslist on the Sunday that the heat wave started. Hour or so drive round trip in smoldering weather. I was absolutely miserable on the drive back.

Fortunately, we've got central air in my house and it's been keeping things comfortable.

I can't imagine not having A/C. My old apartment, although it did technically have A/C, would have been a pure misery this past week. I'm grateful for the one I have now.

Some of them were certainly a good 12 or 13 on a side! I really didn't find it *very* hard until I got to the upper echelons of the Hard level, but I *really* enjoyed it, and it more than met my "money well spent" criterion of "should get at least one hour of enjoyment out of the thing for each dollar spent."
