Writing POV & Tense
LNH logs are to be written from the third person POV (point of view) and in the past tense form. Script form, character journals, present tense, and first person POV will not be accepted as LNH 'canon' in terms of official logs and events.
Example: Di Roy grinned at Luppi. NOT: Di Roy grins at Luppi. Also NOT: I grinned at Luppi.
Game Rating & Content
The general rating of LNH stretches between PG and 14A for potential language content. Logs that exceed that rating should be appropriately marked when posted and members should click responsibly.
There are no rules for or against het/yaoi/yuri; we function on acceptance of all preferences and encouragement of development within the logs.
Played-By Icons
Played-By (or PB) icons are requested for when logs are posted. A PB icon is one created from the photo of a real person (model, etc) who has a similar appearance to your character. While not a solid requirement, they are strongly encouraged.
Log Writing
Logs are to be written over whatever media the participating members prefer, excepting that of writing on the main community (
lasnocheshigh is to be used solely for admin announcements and log posting). Members are welcome to use
lnh_ooc to write logs and forum space will also be made available for logging.
Log Posting Format
Completed logs should be compiled and editted by one of the participating members of the log, the posted up on the main community for all to read. Editting is typically comprised of checking tenses, spelling, and grammar while compiling is putting all the tags to that log into a single file for editting.
Once editted, all logs should be posted to the main community in the following format with the log content itself under an LJ cut:
Title: (the title of the log)
Characters: (list of the characters involved; two or more)
Timeline: (the date that this log takes place in the
timeline)
Rating: (the rating of the log's contents)
Summary: (a concise summary of the log itself)
Content of log here.
Please note that the subject line should indicate: "[Log] (names of the characters involved)"
