Yuppers, y'all know what's coming next...I wonder if that was his last words. Of course I have to say something about Steve Irwin's Death. I am reading in the news that the general consensus is "shock", but I mean come on..why is everyone so surprised? One had to remember that old saying of if you live by the sword, you die by the sword, so living ( Read more... )

He was never going to survive that. CPR would have done nothing but perhaps keep those with him busy and not thinking abuot the fact he was dead.

The poison a stingray injects causes necrosis of the tissue. That's on top of the fact HE WAS STABBED IN THE HEART.

I am honestly astonished about the worldwide reaction to this. ASTONISHED.

I'll agree with you 100%. To say I am shocked or stunned would be a bit much, but the world will be a touch more boring with only his reruns to annoy us (sorry to all of his fans). Of course, all deaths are sad, particularly surprising ones such as this, but hopefully something good can come from it.
As for your note on CPR, being only trained in how to administer it, I'm not sure on the cardio part. Yes, we would want to keep oxygen going to a person, but would you want to keep pumping poison through veins or allow blood to pump our into the chest cavity.

I agree with the "live by the sword, die by the sword". Still, the news surprised me. I always thought Irwin was a very interesting person, reminding me of my uncle a little bit (though my uncle isn't as 'into' it as much as Irwin was). BTW, the real reason I came to your journal is to give you this...

I love it. Do you have any Dick's Picks? My Dead collection is freaking huge now compared to what it was this time last year. Thanks again.

You.Rock.

As for Dick's Picks, the irony is I actually have quite a few...and they are all on casette,LOL. We are working on getting some of our more coveted casettes into digital format, but just havn't had the opportunity to sit down and play with the software yet, but i expect us to be really really soon. If all goes well, and the sound quality isn't shite, I'll be letting you know.

Did you decide to enroll in school or anything? Hope you're well :)
