We're in the beginning stages of putting together the writing workshops for Context 21, and we're looking for feedback from people as to what they'd like to see us offer. If you're going to do the "media tie-in" workshop, I'd be glad to be a panelist/workshopper/gofer, since 99.9% of my professional work has been media tie-in up until now. (The .1% is my old newspaper writing from back in the 70s, for those who were curious.)

You might also buzz kradical who's the media tie-in guru around these parts.

Just a suggestion or two. Otherwise, your ideas for possible workshops look really useful.

Self promotion is such a broad topic that it would be hard to cover it all in a single marketing/networking workshop.

Some related topics that might fall into that topic but that could easily fill their own workshop include things like:
Podcasting and video for book promotion
Making best use of blogging for promotion
Advertising: Where, Why, How -- and does it even help?

For published authors, roundtable discussions/networking sessions where they have the chance to talk and share info -- and in a designated time/place instead of just as it happens in the bar, though I suppose it could be a designated time in the bar -- are good. We don't always necessarily want to listen to panelists much, but we do like sharing information with each other.
