This is funny stuff, much funnier than the lacklustre Prison Diaries of Paris Hilton found in yesterday's LA Times (and also on Arts & Letters Daily) ! Thanks! I shall go forth and crack open my TLS. Also, if you're interested, Luc Sante has a very good piece on Simenon in the current Bookforum.
