Philosophy Graduation: the best and the Worst berkeleyjew May 17 2005, 03:30:00 UTC
Those sly Philosophy professors schedule their graduation a week BEFORE the end of finals. That meant that both sets of grandparents and my immediate family flew to California only to have me study for 3.5 of the 5 days they were in town.
I'd only finished one of four finals before my first graduation. Bastards.

On the upside, the Philsophy graduation is outdoors on the quad in front of the faculty club, and they supply one of the best catering spreads of any graduation I've seen.

Congrats on Graduating, by the way!

Yeah. I hate that. My friend in Ling said they were at alumni house and had a really nice spread too. But they are a really small dept and charged $10 per ticket to pay for the reception.

Thanks for the congrats.

Thanks. And thanks. I was so close to avoiding the cold everyone else has and then I failed in the last 4 days. And the most important 4 too. Argh.
