I was so excited to see you’d posted part two late last night and took great delight catching up on it this morning when I woke up. Fabulous! So worth the wait. I love the interesting dynamic between Dev and Faramir where they both have Dúnedain in them and surprise one another with such in depth statements despite expecting the other person to anyway. I have a bad feeling about whatever sound Gwin did (or didn’t!) hear, but something tells me our beloved elf is going to take great delight in saying “I told you so!” Later on... thanks for posting and I can’t wait to see more in due course! Hope life isn’t too hectic post-Christmas!

OOhhhh, this is beautiful! I love the look into childish Faramir, and really exploring those instincts to be... /naughty/. This is different than anything you have written before, with the group mentality as well, and the developing relationships. I think this is going to be very, very healthy for Faramir, and heal a lot of things.

I personally believe both of them- maybe someone is following them who is not trying to pose them danger? Like Boromir, Legolas, or the like? Yeah, maybe Legolas is going to join them too! And I wonder if someone will tell Damrod about the every-other-night-for-a-week tactic when they get back?

I hope we do get to see a little bit of what everyone back at "home" is thinking, once they realize the three are gone, and not completely worry and send out spies to look for a ransom note. That will make our poor three warriors feel really guilty, because they didn't think about how worried they would all be.

Ooooh, Larrkin, this is so beautiful! I can't wait to read more, please post again soon!!

Dearest Larrkin,
I was beyond thrilled to see you had posted another chapter of your wonderful story, as I hadn’t been expecting one for quite some time! This update was, as usual, perfection itself. I love how you selves into Devon’s and Faramir’s characters so well (I’m a huge Faramir fan, although who couldn’t automatically love Dev?).
Thank you for another great chapter, PLEASE continue to work on this story. It makes my day when I see you’ve changed the color of the “New Story Below!” on your website.
Happy Wednesday, hope LM is being a bit more cooperative than usual!

Yay many thanks! anonymous January 10 2019, 21:37:50 UTC
Congratulations, Larrkin! I am pleased to announce that you have won the award for the most beautiful use of functional shift known to humanity with your creation, 'certain dooming.' (And yes the award for the most beautiful use of functional shift known to humanity does exist. I just created it, because this word showed us all that there was clearly a need for one. The prize is many, many chocolatey goodies for you and LM ;-) )

This story continues to be wonderful, predictably, and to push the boundaries of what you have written before. I love that you gave us Faramir's perspective on the events of the last chapter, and your portrayal of this situation so full of things unsaid manages to be understated and profound at the same time (like how are you doing that I don't even know????) Your exploration of mischief-makers' camaraderie is delightful, and meaningful too. Those mysterious footsteps seem to be the heralds of certain doom, one way or the other. I'm absolutely hooked!
