Some Darren Drawings + Bonus Toenails

Note: So this is my first drawing of Darren that I just broke down and used a reference photo. It's taken from a picture from the CD signing at The Grove Barnes and Noble, and it has special significance because in this particular picture, I'm the one standing across the table in front of him. Being the shy dork that I am and looking at my hands and not having anything cool to say. But he's smiling and it just makes me admire him more that he's so genuinely sweet to his fans whether they're actually interesting or not. (Also, why must pencil drawings be so hard to capture? Sorry for the yuckiness of quality)

Note: I kinda started out with Darren's hair and then decided I wanted to do the Dalton uniform, so it turned out as either Blaine without the gel helmet, or Darren in costume. I already posted this on kurt_blaine a while back, but I figured I'd include it since I'm actually using my own journal for once.

Title: Experiment

Note: This was really an experiment. I was sitting in the mall one day and decided I was going to just try to draw him and not be nervous about it. What I learned is that I apparently have no idea how a person's head is shaped beyond their face and I'm still horrible at proportions (although my friend amusedly pointed out the possible significance of my tendency to make his eyes and his lips reaally big...lol). So this involved a lot of tweaking and fixing and it was actually a really good learning experience, even though the only things that really look like him are the eyebrows and the hair. So, while I do have a certain amount of fondness for this one, I do offer my apologies to your eyes.
And because I can: I give you my toenail homage to Darren. I had way too much fun with this. I'll probably be doing my fingers in the next week, but for now, I will always think of Darren's awesomeness when I look at my toes. :P
And with the image of my toes, I bid you adieu. XD
