It takes a lot for me to de-friend someone. It either has to be heinous and then it's a fast de-friending (like the person who was writing Bibleslash homoerotic stories about Jesus getting it on with His apostles), or just a prolonged separation that creates a chasm between us, which leads to huge loss of interest. I actually de-friended someone on here recently because she and I had just drifted SO far apart over the years, and I was just no longer interested in her life. I believe the feeling was mutual, since neither of us hardly ever commented on the other's lj...she hardly EVER (like 2x/yr) commented on mine, and I found myself being a little antagonistic (imagine that) on hers.
