Absolutely incredible. I've never felt more homesick for Louisiana than when I read this. God, but your descriptions take my breath away. Amazing, as always.

Thank you so much, bb. I always try to aim for an authentic feel, even if I only know Louisiana through research articles, docus, and tv shows/film done on site.

Is it wrong that I really wanna see how Sledge would deal with Mardi Gras with Snafu or maybe babe meeting nore if Genes crazy family, like say maybe cousin Ray.

It's not wrong at all. (Esp since there is a Mardi Gras museum in Mobile, AL, where they claimed their city started it all. There could be some serious home town pride agruments there.) To be fair to Gene, Snafu's family is more insane, they just come along with Gene-by-proxy. Plus, Babe's siblings aren't exactly sane, so Gene's going to get a taste of it in the future. Cousin Ray def. has more than a few appearences coming up. Actually, he has a HELL of a lot more once I finish most of the St. Bonfiace section up and go to the D.C.-section.

And yes, the infection is finally gone. Allergies are here now, but eh, that time of year.
