Well, I'm back from my weekend trip to Grand Isle. It was lovely. The weather was beautiful, and our friends, Jeremy and Becka, came down from N.O. to party with us. We had such a great time...sitting on the porch, reading, watching the ocean, drinking...all my favorite things, lol! Being near the ocean always calms me down, and i desperately

I'm glad that it looks like things are slowly getting back to normal down there.

And going back to work sucks regardless of whether its a 4 day weekend or a regular too-short-two-day one :)

Ah, yes, it's always nice to get away. But work is always there when you get back, just...waiting. :P

By "us" I meant me and my boyfriend, Michael, and we don't have any kids- and probably won't for at least a few more years! My parents have a camp in Grand Isle- a teeny tiny island and the southernmost point of Lousiana- and we try to go down there fairly often. But it'd been under construction for over a year, so we're excited we can finally use it again!

BTW, your icon is pretty! I LOVE to travel, and San Franscisco is near the top of my list of places to visit!

i wanna go to grand isle :(
we are planning for new years to go down.
i wanted to go down on the 15th with all those peoples, but my work christmas party is on the 16th (yay free drinks and food)

Heroes is awesome. Jeff and i watched about 5 or so episodes of it last night. after the first one, i actually exclaimed "this is AWESOME." lol. i am a dork, and i want to be a superhero. it's really interesting, though. jeff and i both really like it.

i got christmas lights for outside! they are colorful and i hope they bug the creepy neighbors (not the ones next to you, the ones that "don't believe in halloween.")

also, i am getting a tree this year! yaaay. i need to get all my shopping done early, too. have you heard from mom, dad or mac about what they want? i think i am going to take the same road as you and order everything online this year. oh so much simpler.

I love internet shopping anytime, but especially at XMas. It's so easy! I messaged Mac but he said he'd get back to me. Dunno what everyone wants.

I hope your lights bug the neighbors too... ;)

We probably will go on the 15th...random people keep asking me if i am. Did Mac invite every person we know or what???

Haha, yeah i think he did. Actually, Joe told me about it when i was at the bar a couple weeks ago. I want to go!! But, the christmas party is that saturday...hmmm. maybe i can skip it...but jeff already tok off work to go with me :/ plus, it's in nola, and the owner pays for EVERYTHING, and i hear it's really fun.

a place called Lucy's. i was telling mike about it at thanksgiving, and he seemed to know what i was talking about. it's mainly drinks (sweet) but some food. i will know about 2 people there, lol.
