I'm prefacing this with the admission that I don't actually know Richard II that well; most of my work has been on the other tetralogy. So some of the things I noticed might be completely obvious to people who know the play better than I do. Hey, I just point this stuff out. ;)

I actually have a gazillion questions but I am about to go on a very long drive, so right now I shall confine myself to saying that this sounds totally awesome even though there is a surprising amount of "not what I would do." Thanks for posting at such length! :D
