Amazon boxes are made of love

Things in my boxes from Amazon:

Yarn - it's so pretty! Very lightweight and I'm not sure what I'm going to make with it but I love the variegated pattern and all the colors incorporated!

Elfhome by Wen Spencer - Book Three! I've had this in my Maybe This Time list for the longest time! I think I have a good excuse now to reread the other two ( Read more... )

I wish I got more excited about knitting. I love to learn new stuff, but I never stick to it!!!

So how is the Kindle Fire? Is it really easy to manage?

I don't knit. Too slow. Crocheting is much faster. Granted, I can't do as many cool things as knitters but I'm doing what I can do with wild abandon! It certainly helps to do things I love - either geeky things or items that are going to someone in need. There is a REASON that I'm doing them and that makes all the difference!

I'm going to post an update to the Fire. So far, I would give it a 5 out of 5 in usability!

Nope! ARGH. But I think I figured it out... I did a 'forward mail request' with the USPS on their website. I said I didn't want my mail forwarded until this past Friday, but I think they went ahead and processed it right away. The tracking number is still saying 'forwarded.' I'll give them a few more days and then I'll be contacting amazon telling them that I haven't gotten my stuff. Let them deal with the bleeping post office.

Enjoy the Kindle Fire. I have a 1st generation Nook that is on the verge of passing away. I also have a basic Kindle for e-books that works fine, and an iPad that I absolutely love. Most people really like their Kindle Fire.

Have fun with everything!

I also love the Matt Fraction Hawkeye series!

I'm definitely keeping my basic Kindle for audiobooks. Thanks for the idea! I almost had to press it into service when my gramma's Kindle started acting up but I think I fixed the problem. Whoosh! Carbon gets to stay with me!

I've yet to really read on it much. Too busy playing games and wasting time! Not good!

Don't forget to check the Amazon App Store daily to see what the free app of the day is. Sometimes they're lame, but other times you can pretty cool stuff free. :)

Have you gotten Zombies Ate My Friends yet? It's free and, so far, really fun!

I haven't. Since the boys play on my Kindle just as much as I do, I try to keep the zombie stuff away so that Ashten doesn't end up with nightmares.
