OHMYGOSH but you just finished reading it and...and you...there's this...MY HEART, OH MY GOSH I AM FLAILING OVER HERE AND SQUEAKING EXCITEDLY LIKE A HAMSTER ON HELIUM!
Okay, okay *breathes* I LOVE THIS! I mean, circus. Straight off, Clint and Natasha and circus is love. Clint and Natasha and The Night Circus? LOVE. Clint and Natasha and The Night Circus and written like this? Hamster. On Helium.
The directionlessness (is that a word?) of Clint and Barney at the start is heart aching, but there's that taste of possibilities like in because Clint really wanted to see the ocean and now was as good a time as any and this moment of freedom before they get trapped in a state home or somewhere similar, a moment in a life where Clint already felt trapped: He’d seen something like that on a television at a random foster home, the animals looking as trapped and confused as he’d always felt in this new world that didn’t include his mother and father and that is such a great sentence. The possibility of the circus, which I think is part

I'm so glad you liked it! I wrote it so quickly that I figured I should let it sit until I could go over it but then it wouldn't be the same and I might just disregard it and not post it. It felt more organic to do it quickly and just let it go without trying to refine it and rework images that my sleepy brain seemed to understand so well
I really wanted to write a story about them already in the circus but it seemed important to write how they each got the circus first. Perhaps I will write them in action someday. A good reason to reread... and then there is the possibility of the movie coming out...
*hugs* Thank you for loving the story and thank you, most of all, for reminding me time and time again, in so many ways, to read the book.

Your sleepy brain nailed it :D Writing in The Night Circus 'verse seems daunting to me, but not only did you do that you also wrote in that style. Serious awe happening over here!
If you ever want to write anymore Night Circus you know you'll have an eager reader lol, but I'm happy loving this one to bits :D
Ooooh. I have no idea what The Night Circus is (although I've just put it on hold at my library), but this is neat! I really like how we go from Clint believing it's temporary to seeing him some time later. :) And the metaphor at the end is just lovely.
Oh, you HAVE to read it! Then you will understand! And you will be in love... with the book. This is just a simple shadow of the actual greatness that is Erin's masterpiece!
I hope you like it when it comes to the front of the queue. It is a truly wonderful book! I just can't say enough good things about it. And I'm glad you liked my story! Thank you!
I'm so glad you liked it! Both the book and the fic! I hope to write more someday but I'm not promising anything, mostly because I don't know if I could keep up the needed magic for long enough to get something else written. That is a special brand of storytelling and kudos to Erin for getting a whole book with that sort of magic in it!

An addition (I'll call it that) is something on my list. It would be fun to have the whole gang there!
