Fic: Ghost Town
Gah! I forgot just how much I hate having my word count cropped to a certain number. I used to love writing drabbles but now I feel stifled. Will have to expand this later on but need to get it in for the challenge.

Summary: Things happen when extraordinary comes to town.
The city should be familiar with the routine now that demi-gods and super heroes have come to nest among their soaring edifices. It always starts with life being pretty good until someone new comes to town, intent on making a name for himself. Things take a turn for the worse. There is a winner and a loser, all clear and concise and wrapped up with technology that leaves everyone numb because it shouldn't exist.
No one dares take a breath for days afterward. They'll come together and get the city built up again but, for now, they sit huddled together wondering if heroes are the stuff of legend or of nightmares.
