I am a social liberal. This week's election results really had me sitting back and looking at why I was so upset with the results. Then someone posted on FB that the response to Trump's election proves that liberals/democrats are the more intolerant and I realized that my upset was actually fear. I thought this was a very well thought out description of what's happening on the "liberal" side. I wonder if the conservative side sees the fear as intolerance the same way we see their fear as intolerance. The fears are different, and we may see them as unjustified fears ("Blacks/Mexicans are criminals!" "Gay people are pedophiles!" etc etc) but they're still fears. I wish there was an easy way to combat those fears in a sane way where people would actually listen rather than dig themselves in further.

I would agree with this-- scared for those they love, if not themselves (if they're lucky enough not to fall into one of the may demographics he railed against during his campaign).

I'm terrified of what this election is going to bring.

But not to terminate a pregnancy, even if the child will be in extreme pain all of their very short life, because abortion is against the law
I've always believed it should be Pro Birth instead of Pro Life, because they don't seem to care about the child once it's actually born.
