Round 4 // Challenge 2 Alternates

Jun 06, 2008 00:44

Did you create a few icons for the challenge and then choose the best one to submit? If so, this is where you can post those "rejected" icons (along with your submitted entry) and make them sharable to others :).

challenge two, alternates, round four

Really love the one you entered, and your Elizabeth alternate is an interesting take on the cap - lovely coloring.

I remember thinking that the slight shift in orientation you did for your submission was really eye-catching and worked really well with the crop!

I really love this option. Especially since I seem to be wholly indecisive when it comes to these challenges.

They are all gorgeous. I can't decide which one is my favourite.

Ohh, nice close-up crop on Elizabeth! I like the one with John, too. The almost motion-blur around Ronon is neat, though!

I really like the b/w Ronon icon, the shadows work really great :D

I really, really liked your entry (and the brush stroke alternate you posted here, perhaps even more so for the lighter tones and warmer coloring, especially in her hair).

Thank you. I considered to enter the first alternate, but I thought that the brush was odd looking and I couldn't figure how to make it better.

If you have the PSD(s) for these, you may try rotating the brush clockwise (so that the figure's entire cut is spanned by the brush stroke), and even combining the warmer foreground tones with the darker background tones of your entry. I think that'd look amazing.

I liked the background on your icon that you entered. And I really like your third alternate.

I thought the whole "nuclear wasteland" feel of your entry was pretty cool. :) That said, love the coloring on your third alternate. Love love love.

Hee! Thanks! I generally try to make my submissions look as different from the original cap as possible, heh. And oh, man, I loved that one too, I really almost submitted it, but I was afraid it was too uninteresting!
