I had a really tough time deciding Mod's Choice this week, thus three people have been awarded the title. You guys are producing some quality :).

Actually, I never have comments emailed to me. I find it easier to just go browsing through lantis's posts through the manage comments feature :D.

- The texture overpowers the image and the cropping doesn't add any balance to the design
- John and Teyla appear to be stranded in some kind of acid dream. The texture's kind of taking over and John and Teyla are lost in it.
- [the background doesn't compliment the foreground. it's a bit too sharp]
- I like the background and how it makes the icon look psychedelic

*giggles* Good to know! I always feel kinda bad with edits.

I figured my comments would be about a texture! I didn't use one, I smudged the background behind them and then shifted the hue into a vastly different color. Even though I got negative votes for it, it's fun to see comments about that, it makes me feel like I snuck it in, or something. The crop did suck, though, I realized too late that I should have cut Teyla out and had it just be John... Ah, well.

I actually thought you might have used a rose texture for the background and played with it. Nevertheless, it's a good manipulation :). Yeah, I agree re: the crop; making it just John would have given more of a focus point.

That said, you're safe! Yay!

Congratulations to you again, sweets :). (Mod's Choice = way too hard to choose 'cause I was like "this one is awesome, but *that* one has the colouring and that one has the unusual composition" etc

After the third change, I thought maybe you'd strangle me. :)

I can imagine that Mod's Choice is difficult to decide on. I had my voting comment open for ages, and even then I had to edit (my second number said one and the reasoning said another, and I had to decide between them). There were a lot of great entries again this week, with even harder caps to work with. I was in Photoshop cursing the darkness. Heh.

I would have strangled you if you'd come up with something sub-par and decided on submitting that one; but all your entries looked fabulous :).

You know what? The caps pissed me off a bit, too. I was initially really looking forward to this week (I bumped it up the line by quite a bit - originally it was CH6 or something), but when it came time for me to make something from them, I failed and flailed about several times.
