Sad thing about Hector!Fate: He just felt utterly shoe-horned into the whole thing, even for the late 90's. I mean, it was kinda nice to see him and Lyta finally getting something approaching respect... but then their ultimate fate just totally killed that. Actually, now that I think about it, Obsidian, Brainwave Jr., Atom-Smasher, and Hourman the second/third are practically all that's left from the old Infinity, Inc. team. Now you've made me determined to research the Society's Junior Squad. Look what you did! =P

Yeeeeeaaah, that Hawkman doesn't really work for me, either. And they could've picked Power Girl or Jessie!Liberty Belle, if they really wanted a female team-member. I actually quite like StarGirl. Just that she doesn't "fit" into the continuity they're mostly working with. Then again, it's becoming more and more obvious - They Just Don't Care. And that's terrible. ;_;

Um...sorry? But think how you're so much more educated now! And jeeze, it sounds like Infinity Inc. has almost as high a body count as the JLI. Impressive.

I think Power Girl is a bit much for Smallville, as an alternate-reality Kryptonian. They have to draw the line somewhere. And at least Hawkman and Dr. Fate were on the JLA/JLU cartoons, so they have *some* exposure (Hawkman was on Superfriends as well, methinks) and recognition. Liberty Belle would have none besides hardcore comics fans. Agreed - Star Girl doesn't fit into he continuity at ALL. Just...no.

Hawkman rules. Doctor Fate kind of doesn't, but he still might be good. I hope Stargirl has Jack Knight's cosmic rod, but it seems doubtful. If she does, the episode will rule.

I doubt she'll have the cosmic rod. Then they'd have to explain where it came from, and they don't like exposition that doesn't have to do with magic rocks/stones/reincarnated French noblewomen/Jor-el's dickishness. She'll probably get a few cosmic converter belt special effects before being knocked out by the villain, because she's young and a girl and that's how Smallville rolls.

Hawkman is totally awesome and so is Doctor Fate. The only way this casting could have been better is if they had included Hourman.
