Eeeeeeeeeeeeee! Meet Miss Pepper! She belongs to my brother and his girlfriend. She's an eight week old Shar Pei and she's absolutely gorgeous. I am in love.

Peeking in here to second everything sgamadison said about starting Miss Pepper's training & socialization early. (I'd include tooth care with skin/ear cleaning, too. Yeah, brushing your pet's teeth sounds ridiculous... until you're facing dentist bills of hundreds of dollars just for a cleaning, much more if they break a tooth with a cavity or get a bad absess!)
A friend had one of these big goofy bundles of lovin' & ZOMG, it was stubborn--& strong! And the fact that she has all that loose skin means that trying to restrain her when she's grown will be approximately like trying to grab a 40-60 pound greased pig in a loose suede Snuggie.... (It was dam' good entertainment as long as you weren't the ones trying to get him to do something . ;-)
