Defining "Worthy."

There was an article in the newpaper today, I think it was the front page, or perhaps it was the front of the local section, don't remember which, but it was about a mother whose son had joined the LDS Church and was getting married in the temple. The short of it is that she was upset because she was not able to see her son be married to his wife

I sympathize with someone who would dearly like to see their own child's wedding, which I think is completely understandable, but it's interesting to get your perspective on it! I do think that the goal of the church about this is just to be exclusionary or secretive of one's own rituals, personally, but at the same time I also think that's their right as a church, as they don't really have an obligation to non-members.

I sympathize as well and I think it'd be incredibly hard. It was interesting as in the article the parents of the young woman offered to stay outside with the young man's parents and wait for the couple. The young man's parents insisted that they not, though. (The ceremony itself isn't very long, if both are endowed before the day of the wedding ... I don't know how some women do it all in one day
