Mormons in the Media

I can't help it, when I hear or see Mormons mentioned in media outlets I can't help but cringe a little. I'm sure people who are Muslim feel the same way. It is a "oh great, what are they going to screw up and misrepresent this time

I don't think people should take it too seriously because even if the author of the Twilight series is a Mormon, she's just a single person, so it's not really fair to make any huge judgment calls based on that.

Unfortunately what is fair and what people do are often two different things.

I am actually a little surprised I haven't seen more media people pointing it out, but perhaps it's because she's an author and not someone running for public office. There was a news article a year or so ago and this radio spot, though I admit I don't obsessively seek out every mention of the Church in the media.
