Equine Update!

Kindof cross-posted with backyardhorseOur herd is holding at five right now. We sold Jinjer back in May to a young girl and her family. Last I heard they are doing wonderfully and they couldn't have found a better first horse for their situation. I'm glad she's in a place where she can get some one-on-one attention and our herd dynamics have settled

Agreed! There shall be much photographing and posting when it finally arrives.

And amusing tid-bit of information: her nicker sounds distinctly mule-ish. It's endearing and hysterical and just plain odd at the same time. Her whinny is normal until she gets to the lower tones and it dissolves into this hoarse, muley sound. I've yet to discover if this is a Fjord trait or if it is just a Kitt thing.

Yes I do actually! Perhaps the next time I go to the horse park I'll drag the camera along (she's terribly talkative around new people and horses!). If not the camera I do have a voice recorder that does a pretty good job. (Imagine horse nickers on MP3)
