I have a set of 12 Faber-Castells sitting around. It's been a while since I pulled them out to try. I think I did a color wheel sample with them. I believe they have an oil based binder instead of wax so you don't get the "wax bloom" the Prismas can be prone to. The Faber-Castells are really expensive, though.
I've never really fallen in love with Winsor Newton products. I do love soft pastels and they are my chosen dry medium to work in.

that would make them technically oil pastels that sketch is alive with movement and color great job! is that yours? the blur is like impressions of form they feel atmospheric and alive!

Been a few years since I really got to dig into the pastels, but I'm looking forward to being able to do it again soon. It helps to not have toddlers anymore!

prismacolor is the modern industry standard
have you tried faber castell?
supposedly fine art colours
i guess the true standard there would be chalk pastels, instead of pencils
like winsor newton, or grumbacher, and faber castell
