Glad you are working to rehabilitate the anxiety with those who need it. It makes me so sad when horses are anxious like that, you know someone treated them unfairly at some point.
Turning the leaf blower in when you’re 10 feet away = classic. It’s like the people who gun their engine as soon as they come along a horse on the side of the road. Thanks so much, folks with no common sense!
This post made me miss horses more than any of your others so far, I think!! It's probably the variety... because most of my childhood we had dozens... and dozens of horses. All styles and shapes and heights and colors... so seeing a whole herd, just... makes my heart go pitterpat!
Horses and dogs both have such huge ranges of personalities, skills, intellect and instincts between the breeds.... they're all horsey (or doggy) but each breed comes at it from a different place, almost.
Whereas I think cats are all just... cats, no matter what! Ha!

Dealing with anxious horses both breaks my heart and fiills my soul. It's so rewarding when they can finally drop the anxiety they've been carrying.
To be fair the guy with the leaf blower had his back to me and didn't know I was there when he turned it on.
I did have a crew of idiots yelling "yeehaw, giddyup!" as I was working with a client Saturday driving her mini. Really, guys?

I didn't have any as a kid, but now my life is full of them both professionally and personally!

I love the variety, I don't know how people just stick with a single breed, they are all so interesting and awesome in their own way!
I would have to sit down and count, but this might be a quarter of my usual group I work with.

Indeed they are all the same creature, but there is such a wonderful variety among the individuals.
