More confirmation that I just need to leave FaceBook alone.
The group for beginning carriage driving I have been a part of for a few years now apparently added a rule against bitless driving because it is "not safe."
They deleted my comment on a post asking about a harness maker.
I screenshot the notification.

I keep thinking this is like sex education almost.
You can't teach boys and girls about the existence of genitalia at school in biology class... because then they'll get curious about it and ask questions at home that are difficult for prude parents to answer!
It's not like you were advocating bitless... or showing driving bitless... you were just showing a bitless driving set up. But you can't make people CURIOUS now, can you? DANGEROUS!!

Technically I was trying to show off the breastcollar, trace carriers etc. The horse just happened to be wearing a bitless bridle too.
CURIOSITY IS DANGEROUS! You remember what happened to the cat?!
We've already had some discussions about male and female anatomy with the boys because, well, we have horses of both genders and things are pretty big and obvious in that case plus they saw Zeke being born.

Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back!
Which is irrelevant to the horse-piss paragraph above.... and going back to bitless bridles and silly people.

I have had several run ins with dumb FB moderators recently as well so I sympathize. It's like "ok if you only want feedback from idiots go ahead" - one was a clueless amateur I know posting a video about saddle fitting that was full of misinformation that I commented on which was deleted since my comment wasn't nice 🙄 , the other was suggesting that a kid shouldn't intentionally piss her parents off if she wants to live in their house - that one was deemed anti-LGBTQ+ though I wasn't referring to her sexual orientation or gender at all.

It feels incredibly forced and saccharine.
