That is a pretty good video! Isn't that the problem that the No Mask people have though... they the masks DON'T protect them.. they protect everyone else, and that just isn't important to them?
Yes, the whole "if your mask is working why do I need mine" argument. For me it boils down to the nature of the disease because you can be presymptomatic for over a WEEK shedding virus everywhere and feel perfectly fine but get so many other people sick. Most diseases you aren't super contagious until you get that fever or whathaveye, not so with this one!
I also think a lot of people aren't really seeing the disease yet so they can't fathom why it is important for everyone everywhere to mask up.
I'm reading a Shakespeare biography... and 3 times during his life in London... it was like, 'Welp! The bubonic plague is back... guess everything has to shut down for 6-9 months to stop a mass die-off, hope we survive!' like every 10 years

My great-grandfather died in the 1918 flu pandamic, which is something I have been vaguely aware of for most of my life. I don't know if that has helped my likelihood of believing the pandemic is actually a thing. I still remember back in January when they described it on NPR and said it had up to a two week incubation period and a high incidence of asymptomatic cases and thinking "that sounds like a recipe for disaster."
Apparently mask wearing is super difficult and is a slippery slope to government censorship and control. I don't get it.
