Saturday I had rode both Jasper and Tru-D during lessons. Jasper was first. Our sheep neighbor was lungeing her gelding Wall-E since he had a couple weeks off. Jasper was very fascinated with what was going on and alternated between wanting to trot off towards them and standing and gawking. That ring does look like a lovely place to ride - how neat to have a facility available for drop-in rides like that!

It is absolutely fantastic and some of the best footing I have ridden on! They also have a 60' roundpen and a little area with arena obstacles like a bridge, mailbox, gate etc.

Oh, I hate when they're jerks, and you have to work them so long. If you just would have listened the first time we could be done by now! lol

That sounds like a neat place you trailered to. And there's even a trail section? Is that near the area of phoenix with all the horse trails running through it? When I'm there with my sister we drive through there often, and I see all the horse trail signs.

I felt so accomplished!

Dang Dolly, she had never been that much of an outright pill before and she didn't seem hurt or otherwise bothered, just wanted to jig her way home, goober!

Yes! Horseshoe Park is a pit stop on the Maricopa County Trail system, which has over 300 miles of marked trails throughout the county. It is SE of Phoenix in Queen Creek.
