What are the straps around her front coronets for?

She is wearing hoof boots (Scoot Boots specifically), which use the pastern strap to help keep them secure. I think I like my Renegade Vipers more than the Scoots, but they are more open that the other boots, which is nice to keep dirt from getting stuck in there and also for horses that tend to flare at the quarters

Thank you! She has matured nicely from the scruffy little thing we picked up almost four years ago!

Awww, she's growing up! What a good girl for her trail ride. I have no idea what Addy would think about a cactus! They are not a regular part of our landscape.

I'm pretty proud of her! Hoping for another ride on Tuesday and we'll probably take the same route. I hope to be able to swing up a little sooner, but we'll see what she does!

It seems to be the barrel and the young saguaros that cause the most snorting. Something about them sicking up tall and straight. Unless they touch them, cholla win the most unfriendly plant contest.
