This morning I woke up at 5am from a dream where I had been talking about Zetahra.

And I realized yesterday was her birthday.

And I realized she would have been eight.

And I realized that come the end of the year she will be gone longer than she was here and that felt unbearable.

I'm sure I'll be asking the "what would we be doing now?" question for another twenty years. I am glad that I have so much video and photos of her, but haven't yet had the stomach (and the spare box of tissues) to go through and compile it all.
