Yesterday was my first day back to work. As mentioned before there's a little bit of me that wishes I could take a couple months off, but working does provide a type of "me" time that can be lacking ( Read more... )

Sounds like a smart little Icelandic to back down and then figure out what you want. Are you interested in another? My neighbor has one who has horrible allergies in our climate and needs to move to a desert. Might be a good project pony for you or someone you know.

The TR50 looks pretty sweet but I see what you mean about it being too low. Can you get replacement shafts that are set at different heights? I know nothing about driving or driving equipment.

Glad you were able to sell the wagonette quickly. One less thing to think about.

I don't know of anyone looking right now and I know I am full (seven is plenty!). Poor little guy. I'll let you know if someone is looking. I have one client looking for a horse, but she's on the taller side and looking for something around 15 hands or so.

The shafts can be changed out and are held in place by bolts that clamp the sleeve down around the shaft so they can telescope in and out as well as rotate. I'm toying with the idea of having the local machine shop make a set that is slightly lower. I just need an inch or two to get it level. In the meantime we may rotate the shafts upside down for Kitt. We'll see.

Same here! Chris rearranged the workshop and with the wagonette gone everything actually fits pretty nicely.

Hahaha, I know, right? She looks like a wild child. I have been trimming it just once a year and she's getting pretty close to trim time. Once I start showing her it'll stay a bit more tamed because there's no hope in braiding that mess for show!
