I voted, I did my civic duty. Some might say I threw my presidential vote away because I cast ir for a third party candidate, but if people are continually guilted into thinking that a third party can never win then it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy and never will ( Read more... )

I look at the voter apathy this electoral cycle and I think "if not now, WHEN?!?"

I can't help but imagine how Bernie would have motivated the masses.

I also think that the polls saying HRC would win did not help her at all in this race.

I do hope you are correct about his having a lack of fans in the house and senate - the fact that there is one party in majority for 3 arms of govt is a disturbing concept in terms of checks & balances.

I know! If the stakes were so high why did so many people stay home? Come on people!

Polls are so tricky and that probably is part of what kept some people home, but even then most of them were within the margin of error/statistically even.

To my understanding there is a fair sized group of Republican senators and congressmen who are not Trump fans at all. There's also the elections in two years that gives the opportunity to shift the balance in the legislature.
