Rolo is so freakin' cute! I've always had a huge crush on English bulldogs, altho I don't thier they are a suitable breed for me. Sometimes I wonder if I developed my crush in them due to their being such a popular dog in cartoons!

She is pretty cute and such a funny personality. She isn't motivated much by your typical dog things (desire to please, food) so training her has been interesting. She has to see what is in it for her (and some things aren't worth a treat!). I guess she's like a mule in dog form.

It wasn't my first choice in breed, but her attitude (pretty chill), physical sturdiness, and energy level fit well for our family right now. They do make a fun caricature! All those wrinkles and funny angles!

I've heard they can be a challenge to train, and that has nothing to do with a lack of intelligence, but exactly what you describe here. I'm glad she is making such a good fit with your family! They certainly do make an excellent caricature.

I'm really enjoying the updates on the painting. I like the detail in including the rolled up back part of the wagon (I don't know what that's called).

How old/big is Rolo now?

Thanks! I don't know either. Sometimes I just paint what I see! I assume it's part of the canvas cover that can drop down and keep dust, water, and whathaveye out of the wagon. I do a lot of research for my art and I'm learning a lot about how covered wagons are put together right now!

She will be a year in July so nine months is? She's close to if not 35lbs now. We don't have a scale so measuring is a guestimate.
