Ha I have to remind Sol that all the time. On our first ride last night before I could tell him we were turning he already was headed that way- we haven't driven that route in a year! He's just like I got this woman leave me alone...but that also makes him a great horse to bring Santa into the screaming parade crowd, nothing phases him!
Yeah, if the guy with the chainsaw in the cherry picker chopping down branches didn't bother her or the herd of 15 broodmares and babies bolting away from her she's pretty solid. It's just that she thinks if she trots/jigs the work ends faster (and every gate leads to home; she's been known to dive into driveways too). You know she isn't running away because she stops when you ask. Jed, the Percheron gelding she came with, did the same thing to start. I think it was the training as their previous home showed hitches and they are GOGOGO! When she's driven consistently (and drags the tire a few times!) she is much better.

A fun day sounds like awesome fun and, yet again, I wish I lived nearer. :P

I am hoping that with Chris' set schedule we'll get to drive together more often!

That and once she realizes that we might just be driving all day long and she should probably needs to conserve her energy.
