Birthday was good. Chris and I took Ruby and Charm-N out on a trail ride. All involved did excellent. Apparently Chris and I haven't been out together since before Kelhan was born! Issue remedied ( Read more... )

I would be so angry! Poor Panda. I know you were hoping it would be perfect, but yes, sounds like it's good she's home.

I'm allowing myself passing annoyance since she seems none the worse for the wear. They're 400+ miles away and it isn't worth the energy getting worked up ovet it. We'll just keep waiting for the right people to find her.

Oh, poor Panda - that sounds like a really horrible journey for her. Doesn't sound like she had the greatest care at the other place, either. At least she's back somewhere she'll be looked after, even if it wasn't your plan. I'm not surprised to hear she's lost condition - just normal travelling will do that, even more so if the horse isn't properly watered etc. on the journey! People can be so ignorant.

Happy belated birthday, by the way. :) Glad to hear that you and Chris got to go out on a ride together!

Yeah, I thought it was odd she was kicking in the trailer until I saw her condition and how she was tied. Panda was trying to tell him something. As I said I doubt she had a sip the whole way down the way she drained that bucket.

Poor Panda.... the poor girl must be feeling so unsettled atm. :( I'm sorry it's not what you hoped for, is there anyway you can viably keep her or do you really need to sell her on? :(

It's more for Panda's benefit. I think she would thrive where she can have a lot of one on one attention and with my five others plus boarding my mom's two and two small kids and the fact I have to be very picky about the students I can put on her (all one of them right now as I teach 99% absolute beginners) she isn't getting the time and attention she deserves. She is too nice to sit.

One could argue that I wasn't using Z for lessons either, but once she turned five in April I would have been comfortable putting students on her (whether I wanted to share or not might have been something else!).
