Right? I thought the point was to... promote? Which means you'd want everything sent out as far and as fast as possible so people can get excited? I really do not get Moffat at all.

Neither do I. Using the fans to disseminate promotional material seems to me to be a publicist's dream come true, but Grand Moff seems to value absolute control over the well-being of his franchise. I'd also suggest that he really needs to work on his public persona (aka the swaggering, overbearing, tin-plated dictator with delusions of godhood schtick). First step: shut the f*ck up. Doesn't anybody hold this clown's leash? Urgh.

He is such a fucking douchecanoe, and he thinks he's god's gift to television, which he's really, uh, not.

Heh. He's a fairly decent fanfic writer, but I've read better. He's a fairly good producer, but I've seen better. And his people skills are about on a par with his Sherlock's. So no, I wouldn't classify him as god's gift to anyone. ;)
