Yeah, J loves that stuff, and after he'd seen a couple of episodes of it, he was like, "this is absolute crap archaeology" and didn't want to watch any more.

It is totally crap archaeology. The History channel is full of crap history and crap archaeology -- but this is probably the most egregiously racist crap archaeology I've seen so far.

I've watched every one of those, and I spend the entire episode disagreeing with my tv. Like, "No it doesn't." "Well, that's just wrong." "There are other explanations." "Your reasoning is--not reasoning." "You're a fucking idiot." (I think that last argument is the most persuasive)

It is. There is no reasoning involved -- it's all wish-fulfillment, blithe white supremacist shenanigans and conspiracy theories. There's precious little history on the History Channel these days.

I call H2 "the weird shit channel," because all it has is weird shit. And yet, I watch it all LOL! I love Ancient Aliens with it's blanket explanation for everything being, "Aliens did it."
