This is nice. It also feels like she ought to have some sort of story so you can have a Batman drabble of sorts:

She hated these events.
What were they fundraising for this time anyway? More money to pump into Arkham’s evidently failing security system?
Miranda never could tell, and four years and three promotions later she no longer even cared.
She wouldn’t even bother attending these events anymore if not for the usual perk of gossip bolstered staff status that came with being Jonathan Crane’s date an evening.
Still, she did sometimes feel like a bit of a fool standing around smoking while he spent his time staring at Bruce ‘I can give you all the funding you could ever want’ Wayne.

Oh wow! Thank you for the drabble. :D

She's a character from Monster (I am still tediously fandom-monogamous) but what you've written for her is pretty much spot on for her character. I can imagine her post-series as a Gotham socialite after having crossed the Atlantic from Germany. Some of her major episodes were very film noir in flavour so I think she'd fit in quite well there.

I completely didn’t notice the Monster tag until the idea had come to mind and then it needed to be written anyway. I’ll get round to Monster eventually, possibly around about the time I finish Speed Grapher which may end up being sooner rather than later simply because there are only so many reruns of MasterChef Goes Large that I can handle.

Speed Grapher wasn't bad for a Gonzo series. It was the last Gonzo series that I watched right to the end. The ending is a bit disappointing, but it's otherwise generally strong and coherent throughout. I never liked Kagura that much, but the corrupt policewoman was always fun to see on screen. The villain was quite enjoyable too, I think.

I recently saw Darker than Black which was similar in the bizarre, random superpowers aspect.

I love her expression. It is just so typical of her.
Lovely work, as usual.
