This tornado has just hit my hometown - What you see is it taking out Pak n Save, our grocer, where a car is thrown in through the front doors and half the roof is taken off. yeah, i'm okay, i apparently got the last bus back home from town before they closed the bridge :| my bus wouldn't drive to albany station :|

apparently he was up in placemakers :/

it was around our way, and then it was like 'oh hey, i'm gonna go and hit auckland city' and i was like. uhm. i'm pretty sure anna's at uni. and then they closed off the bridge and i was like O.o BUT YOU'RE OKAY. SO THAT'S GOOD.

TWO PEOPLE ARE DEAD NOW. over 22 injured in the albany zone.

she did! we are both alive! two fatalities, all over the news atm :/ 22 injured, and hit quite a lot of the north shore. i'm super concerned for the world DDD:

I AM OKAY. it was probably the scariest shit that's happened in my life - considering my mother and i were arguing about going right there to grab some stuff for dinner :/

My grandparents missed it by about a minute! I got home just before them and when they got home they told me that they had left the mall and switched on the radio a minute later, which said that a tornado has just gone through :(

I'd just been there yesterday, and I was thinking of going there this weekend to get some of those big comfy winter pyjamas. Because, you know, I'm already wearing several layers to bed at night with a hot water bottle.

i'm glad you and your grandparents are okay! scary stuff, just missing it! DD: (and omfg, is it not like, freezing at night?! i've got the electric blanket going and all the duvets and extra blankets, it's not even funny any more!)
